Older News: I'm in the second year of the Nursing program at South Florida Community College!!!!!! Clinical, clinical, clinical... good grief its a pain driving to all these different cities just to get them done! Also got a tattoo! Can you believe that I actually went through with it? Check it out!
Who I am: I was born on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and raised in Harwich. I graduated from Harwich High School. I lived here on the Cape until I was married in 1997. After I got married, we moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia for about 10 months. Then we traveled to Washington State where we lived until 2002. We decided (after hubby retired from the Navy) to move back to the East Coast and we landed in Pennsylvania for about a year. The Cape called and we went there for 2 years. Hated the snow, so we are now in Sebring Florida, where we are enjoying life immensely!
What I do for a living: Start working as a RN at Florida Hospital in a few days! After two loooooong years of school, I got my ADN and have passed the NCLEX. I used to work as a Pharmacy Technician for CVS in Sebring, but they got stupid when Derek was on his way to the Emergency Room because of his back. They said I should have come into work instead of following the ambulance and worrying about my husband. So they cut my work hours down to 8 hours a month to keep from firing me and made it so I can't get unemployment. Have I said how CVS is a bunch of money grubbing jackwagons? Oh well, enough about them...
Certifications: Registered Nurse, Emergency Medical Technician (Pennsylvania), CPR for the Healthcare Provider. CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician), and PBT (Phlebotomy Technician).
Hobbies: Spending time with the squid kids, hubby, and the cat. Working on the computer and reading.
You may be wondering about the dancing penguin on this page, and yes.. there is a story behind the penguin! When I was pregnant, I waddled like a penguin... from month 3 on! And, with each pregnancy, I acquired a stuffed penguin. I also acquired a few without being pregnant, but the ones that are most special to me, are the ones that my husband has given me. So, my dear husband decided to add the dancing penguin to this page for me :) He also added the typing one at the bottom of the page as well as the song “Earth Angel” by the Penguins! Silly Hubby!
